On Chatiw you show up as a nickname. The stranger you text never sees your real name, your email or your number, so it works as anonymous text chat in the way that matters most: people you meet only know what you choose to tell them. That makes it easy to text strangers anonymously about things you would not post anywhere with your face on it.
What anonymous does not mean is "nothing is saved." Chatiw keeps an account for you, even as a guest, and stores your messages and chat history so you can find people again, get coins right, and so reports can be checked. Do I need to register or log in?

Yes. Chatiw is written for English speakers, and evenings in the US are a busy time to chat. Matching is still random, so you will meet people from other countries too.
What if a stranger is rude?
Tap next to leave straight away, then report or block them. Blocking someone means the queue never pairs the two of you again. Never share your address, school, workplace or social handles in a first chat.
Is it a real person on the other end?
Each match is someone who pressed start at about the same moment you did. If a stranger sends a link in the first minute or pushes you to move to another app, that is a red flag: tap next and report the account.
