Getting started

Go to chatiw.social, choose a mode and press start; no registration step exists. Everything after that first tap is laid out on how Chatiw works.

When the camera or mic stays silent

• Allow camera and microphone for chatiw.social in your browser settings, then reload.
• Quit anything else holding the camera or mic, like a video call running in another tab.
• On iPhone, check Settings → Safari → Camera and Microphone.
• Try another browser. If only text works, it is almost always a permission issue.

Matches take a while

Waits depend on how many people are pressing start in the same mode. Busy evening hours in the US and Europe usually mean shorter waits. Reloading does not skip the queue, so give it a moment.

Where free matches and coins come from

A brand-new account starts with a handful of matches that cost nothing; hang around and the Reward Center drips in extra ones through the day. Coins take over once those are used. Is Chatiw free breaks it down.

Finding someone again

Random matching will not bring back a specific person. Follow people during a match so you can message or call them later.

Chatiw on a phone

Skip the app stores; Chatiw has no listing there and no APK. A home screen shortcut does the same job, and the Chatiw app page has the taps for both phone types.

Account, lost coins and deletion

Coins and follows on a guest session live in that browser. If they seem gone after clearing your browser or switching devices, go back to the original device and log in. To delete your account or get a copy of your data, email support from your account address, or with your nickname and device if you were a guest.
